Kayaker Drowns at Greenbrier in Great Smoky Mountains

A North Carolina man drowned while kayaking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park on Thursday, according to officials. The victim, identified as 53-year-old Kenneth C. Three Stranded Hikers Rescued in the Great Smoky Mountains

Three hikers stranded in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park were rescued by helicopter Friday afternoon. The National Park Service says the trio made a distress call Thursday night, reporting they were cold, wet and needing rescue.
