TheGreatSmokies.net: Where is Angler’s Creek located at?
Angler’s Creek: We are located in The Shops of Pigeon Forge by the Belz Mall, suite #9 right next to Eddie Baur. (151 E. Wears Valley Rd., Suite 9)

TGS: Can you give everyone an overview of ACO and what all they can expect to find in your store and what you have to offer?
ACO: Anything that an angler might need. We also want to provide equipment, and supplies for any of the hikers out there. We also have souvenirs, sunglasses, and other outdoors/ fishing related knick-knacks. Once we are established, we want to offer hiking and fishing, guided trips, as well as fly fishing, fly tying, and rod building classes.

TGS: Can you give us a brief background about yourselves?
ACO: We are descended from the original settlers of, what is now, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. These mountains are in our blood. We’ve fished these streams and hiked these trails our entire lives, like our fathers before us.

TGS: What makes ACO unique among other similar businesses near the Smoky Mountains?
ACO: The simple fact that we are rooted so deeply in these mountains, that we know exactly where the fun is, and we want to share this with other people.

TGS: What are some of your family’s favorite places to visit and things to do in the Smoky Mountains?
ACO: Cades Cove, Metcalf Bottoms, The Chimney Tops, basically anywhere there is a stream or trail to play in or on, whether fishing, hiking, or just simply swimming.

TGS: Any other favorite local businesses that may not be too well known that you think visitors to the Smokies should know about?
ACO: Celtic Heritage in Gatlinburg, and More Than a Candle also in Gatlinburg

TGS:  What would you like to say to visitors to the area who have never visited your store or fished in the Great Smokies and why they should consider doing both?
ACO: We know where the fun is, and there is a lot to be had in these hills. Whether you want to come and fish some of the best trout streams in the world or hike trails and adventure through hills that are packed with history, there is a certain brand of fun here that is tailor-made for you!
