The Great Smoky Mountain National Park Service said rangers and staffers from the Tremont Institute were able to save a man’s life using an automatic external defibrillator and by performing CPR.
Rangers said a 64-year-old man suffered from some sort of cardiac event in the Spruce Flat Falls area Sunday afternoon. The man was revived and flown by Life Star to University of Tennessee Medical Center.
